Why is a Y-harness better?

The Y-shape keeps the shoulder joints and airways free. It allows the dog to move naturally without putting stress on the spine, even if they pull.

Will it rub my dog's armpits?

No. PawTax is smooth, and the design places the strap far enough behind the elbows to prevent chafing – a common issue with cheaper harnesses.

How to choose the right size?

The most important measurement is the chest circumference (measure behind the front legs at the widest point). The harness should be snug, but you should be able to fit two fingers comfortably under the straps.

Are the plastic buckles safe?

Yes. I use frost-resistant polymer buckles. They are safer than metal in dirty conditions because sand cannot jam the mechanism, and they stay strong even in freezing temperatures.
